Shopping on eBay
eBay is one of the greatest marketplaces in the world. You can buy almost anything (legal!) on eBay, from antiques to zoo toys.
eBay is perhaps best known for its auctions, but you can find many "Buy It Now" items for immediate purchase. And sellers will often accept reasonable offers - look for a "Make Offer" button under the "Buy It Now" button to see if the seller will entertain offers.
eBay is committed to the safety and security of all those who buy and sell through its auctions, fixed price listings and eBay stores. eBay takes a strong stance toward policy violations from all sellers.
If you decide to make an online purchase from or through eBay, amazon.com, or any company whose advertisements are carried on this site, please make sure you follow normal online security precautions.
This site provides eBay and other listings, advertisements and information about items for sale at other web sites as a convenience, but does not endorse, vouch for, or have any control over the items or sellers or content in these auctions or other listings. We do not screen for fraudulent listings or other scams; please understand that potential fraud on eBay and other web sites exists and follow eBay’s recommendations for making purchases and avoiding fraud.
When visiting any web site that is new to you, be sure to read their privacy policies and security information before you hand over any personal or financial information.
Before making a purchase on eBay, be sure to review the seller's feedback and get answers to any questions you might have. The best sellers are always happy to answer questions and to do so promptly.
eBay helps you identify many of the best sellers through its Top-Rated Seller symbol:
![]()
Top-rated sellers are power sellers who provide outstanding experiences to their customers. The badge is displayed on their listings and their profile pages and indicates that the seller:
Note: Many individual sellers on eBay have outstanding feedback and provide excellent customer service but do not have top-rated status. This is because they sell a smaller volume of merchandise than power sellers, which is the only seller group eligible to display the top-rated seller logo. That's why it's important to check feedback - the great majority of eBay sellers are trustworthy and reliable, and it shows in their ratings.
